Actor Kirk Cameron that he is planning to launch a children’s show alongside the publishing company, Brave Books.
“The power of storytelling is just unbelievably strong,” Cameron told Glenn Beck.
The show, called, “Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk,” is similar to “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood,” Kirk described. He noted it is “greatly modernized, high energy, with beautiful, embedded, animated stories inside.”
“Too much of children’s television content today is mind-numbing, cringy, or full of just downright harmful messages,” a description for the show reads. “This is why children need Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk to exist, it is a groundbreaking live-action children’s TV show that will not only entertain your children but also build their character at the same time.”
At the time of writing, the show has raised $79,986 of $2,500,000.
“We plan on creating not just one, but TWO SEASONS (20 episodes) of Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk. But we won’t be able to do it without your support. Your contribution to this fundraising campaign will allow us to create and distribute a wholesome alternative to children’s entertainment to families across the United States,” the fundraiser states. “Each 22-minute episode is estimated to cost us $125,000, so we aim to raise $2,500,000 to assemble a top-notch creative team, from scriptwriters to set designers, directors, producers, cinematographers, and editors.”
American Faith previously reported that Cameron Kirk Cameron helped to launch book fairs across the United States that offered “wholesome” alternatives to other fairs’ offerings.
“It’s obvious that Scholastic is committed to indoctrinating our youth with harmful messages,” Cameron told Fox News while discussing a new project, SkyTree Book Fairs.
“They are not just the 1,000-pound gorilla in this space. They are the space,” he explained. “They are the ones publishing this material. We want to knock them out of the race.”
“SkyTree Book Fairs offers a positive alternative to Scholastic,” Cameron said. “We want to do a better job of providing wholesome books to kids.”
