Trump Ordered to Pay $354 Million in Civil Fraud Trial

Judge Arthur Engoron ordered Donald Trump to pay $354 million in the New York civil fraud case.

Trump has also been banned from running businesses in New York for three years.

Both Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. were ordered to pay $4 million each.

Following the order, Trump said, “If I weren’t running, none of this stuff would’ve ever happened, none of these lawsuits would’ve happened. I would’ve had a nice life. But I enjoy this life for a different reason–we’re going to make America great again.”

“They don’t care about that. It is a state that’s going bust. It’s a state that’s going bust because everybody’s leaving.”

Trump attorney Alina Habba wrote, “This verdict is a manifest injustice – plain and simple. It is the culmination of a multi-year, politically fueled witch hunt that was designed to ‘take down Donald Trump,’ before Letitia James ever stepped foot into the Attorney General’s office. Countless hours of testimony proved that there was no wrongdoing, no crime, and no victim.”

“Given the grave stakes, we trust that the Appellate Division will overturn this egregious verdict and end this relentless persecution against my clients,” Habba continued.

“Let me make one thing perfectly clear: this is not just about Donald Trump – if this decision stands, it will serve as a signal to every single American that New York is no longer open for business.”
