Since the State of Texas has secured the border, there has reportedly been a major drop in the number of illegals coming into the U.S. from December to January.
According to the Customs and Border Patrol, December 2023 saw over 71,000 apprehensions and by January the numbers dropped to just over 16,700, a 76% decrease.
The city of Eagle Pass, one of the busiest ports of entry, has specifically seen significant statistical improvement since Texas locked the border.
While it is an improvement for Texas, other states including California and Arizona are now seeing a rise in the number of illegal immigrants.
