After the boy, Holden Armenta, was falsely accused<\/a> of wearing blackface during a November Chief\u2019s game, a GiveSendGo campaign<\/a> was launched to bring the child to the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are rallying support for Holden Armenta, a 9-year-old Kansas City Chiefs fan, who has been wrongfully accused of \u2018blackface\u2019 for dressing up as a Native American during a game. Holden and his father, Bubba, joined \u2018Jesse Watters Primetime\u2019 to set the record straight \u2013 they are members of the Chumash tribe from California, and their intent was never to disrespect any Native Americans,\u201d the fundraiser\u2019s description reads.<\/p>\n \u201cDespite the family\u2019s clarification, a sports reporter, Carron J. Phillips, persisted in labeling Holden\u2019s innocent gesture as an act of hatred.
