As someone who stands on God\u2019s Word as the only sure guide to faith and life, I would like to make the following courageous observation: meteorologists daily launch an insidious attack upon the Word of God by claiming that snow, rain, hail, and lightning are \u201cnatural\u201d phenomenon, and not kept in heavenly storehouses waiting to be unleashed by God, as the Bible clearly says.<\/p>\n
He makes lightnings for the rain,\u00a0and he brings out the wind from his storehouses.<\/em> (Jeremiah 10:13<\/a>)<\/p>\n \u00a0Have you entered the storehouses of the snow,\u00a0or have you seen the storehouses of the hail,\u00a0which I have reserved for the time of trouble,\u00a0for the day of battle and war?<\/em> (Job 38:22-23<\/a>)<\/p>\n We have here\u00a0incontrovertible biblical proof of where snow and hail actually<\/em> come from as well damning proof of the godlessness parade of misinformation to which the innocent and gullible are subject on a daily\u2014nay, 24\/7 (damn you Weather Channel)\u2014basis.<\/p>\n Friends, do not be deceived.\u00a0 The very truth of the Christian faith is at stake, for if any singular part falls, all else false with it.<\/p>\n As foolish as we may look in resisting the so-called \u201cscientific consensus,\u201d we are bound by Scripture, which does not err, since it is God\u2019s Word. We are not free to \u201cpick and choose\u201d what parts of Scripture we agree with. Better to be mocked by man than disobey God.<\/p>\n [I shouldn\u2019t have to say this, but experience suggests I provide the following disclaimer:\u00a0This post makes a serious point through the use of humor, specifically, it exposes the absurdity of an argument\u2014a literalistic reading<\/a> of the creation story in Genesis<\/a>\u2014by applying its logic and premises to an\u00a0analogous\u00a0issue covered in Scripture\u2014weather. <\/em>If you still insist that I am either serious or mocking the Bible, you are without hope in this life. If you don\u2019t think this is at all funny, that\u2019s fine\u2014you\u2019re wrong, but that\u2019s fine\u2014because at least you see that humor is my aim. If you dispute the point being made, you are free\u2014as far away from here as possible\u2014to make your case for where snow comes from.]<\/em>
