<\/source><\/picture>Legendary rock musician Carlos Santana has deleted an apology he posted on social media after declaring at a recent concert that \u201ca man is a man and a woman is a woman.\u201d Santana is the latest celebrity to come under fire for refuting trans ideology.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Santana, the lead singer of the band Santana, told an audience<\/a>\u00a0gathered to hear him perform at the Hard Rock Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, last month. \u201cWhen God made you and me, before we came out of the womb, you knew who you are and what you are,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cLater on, when you grow out of it, you see things that you start believing that you could be something that \u2026 it sounds good, but you know it ain\u2019t right,\u201d he added. \u201cBecause a woman is a woman and a man is a man.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n At the same time, Santana insisted that \u201cwhatever you want to do in the closet, that\u2019s your business,\u201d adding, \u201cI\u2019m OK with that.\u201d He concluded his remarks by illustrating his closeness with comedian Dave Chappelle<\/a>, who has taken heat for\u00a0agreeing with author J.K. (@yashar) August 24, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Santana prefaced his analysis<\/a> by denouncing virtual reality and \u201calternative truth,\u201d contending that \u201cyou\u2019re either telling the truth or you\u2019re lying your a– off.\u201d His thoughts on LGBT ideology attracted cheers and applause from the crowd.\u00a0<\/p>\n However, criticism of his remarks prompted Santana to apologize for his comments on Facebook Thursday: \u201cI am sorry for my insensitive comments. They don\u2019t reflect that I want to honor and respect all person\u2019s ideals and beliefs. I realize what I said hurt people and that was not my intent. I sincerely apologize to the transgender community and everyone that I offended.\u201d<\/p>\n After reiterating his desire to \u201chonor and respect all person\u2019s beliefs whether they are LGBTQ or not,\u201d Santana added, \u201cthis is the planet of free will and we have all been given that gift.\u201d He vowed to \u201cpursue this goal to be happy and to have fun, and for everyone to believe what they want and follow in your hearts without fear.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt takes courage to grow and glow in the light that you are and to be true, genuine, and authentic. Have a glorious existence.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n On Friday morning, Santana deleted the apology from his Facebook page and posted a new statement<\/a>, which reads: \u201cthe energy of consciousness generates its own kind.\u201d He also proclaimed that \u201chate begets hate love begets love.\u201d His original apology remains available for viewing at Billboard<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n
