GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley says she\u2019s staying in the race because she\u2019s \u201cweakening\u201d front-runner Donald Trump, and drawing more people into the Republican party.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m weakening Trump because of who Trump is,\u201d Haley said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. \u201cTelling the truth in a primary is very important, so that\u2019s what I\u2019m doing.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m going to win,\u201d she added, and \u201cI\u2019m strengthening the party because I bring more people into the Republican Party, instead of pushing people away like Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n
Haley claims she will stay running for Super Tuesday on March 5, and will not back down, claiming Americans want an option other than Trump versus President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fact that we would have a coronation after two months is absurd,\u201d she told the Journal. \u201cThe country needs to pay attention to those 70% of Americans and not the media, who are trying to say this is going to be Trump and Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n
Haley says Trump won\u2019t be able to win enough independent voters and women to win the election again.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy nature, I think women look for authenticity,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cThey look for someone who is genuine, and they look for someone who is honest, and they don\u2019t feel like he represents someone they want their kids to look at.\u201d<\/p>\n
