Until 19 days ago, no court had ever addressed whether immunity from such prosecution exists,\u201d Trump\u2019s lawyers wrote, according to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/trump-supreme-court-response-immunity-special-counsel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0CBS News<\/a>. \u201cTo this day, no appellate court has addressed it.
