Their new book, God, Guns, and Sedition: Far-Right Terrorism in America was released earlier this month,\u201d the email invitation reads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShocking acts of terrorism have erupted from violent American far-right extremists in recent years, including the 2015 mass murder at a historic Black church in Charleston and the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. These incidents, however, are neither novel nor unprecedented,\u201d a book synopsis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfr.org\/book\/god-guns-and-sedition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reads<\/a>. \u201cThey are the latest flashpoints in a process that has been unfolding for decades, in which vast conspiracy theories and radical ideologies such as white supremacism, racism, antisemitism, xenophobia, and hostility to government converge into a deadly threat to democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This is why the trucker convoy headed to the border seems a bit suspicious. Leftists keep trying to make this a thing. <\/p>\n<p>EXCLUSIVE: Pentagon\u2019s Special Ops Office Holds Book Talk On \u2018Far-Right\u2019 Domestic Terrorism | The Daily Caller <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/SoV9eYgpPV\">https:\/\/t.co\/SoV9eYgpPV<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Amy Haywood (@AmyJHaywood) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AmyJHaywood\/status\/1752683136889036883?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 31, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>American Faith <a href=\"https:\/\/americanfaith.com\/independent-study-finds-no-extremism-within-u-s-military\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> that the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) conducted a study on the U.S. military, finding \u201cno evidence that the number of violent extremists in the military is disproportionate to the number of violent extremists in the United States as a whole.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe objective of the IDA study was to gain greater fidelity on the scope and nature of extremist ideologies and behaviors in the military community \u2026 identify the sources of such ideologies and behaviors; assess their impact; and develop strategies for preventing, countering, and neutralizing that impact,\u201d the report says.<\/p>\n<p>While government agencies have pushed the narrative of \u201cextremists\u201d operating on January 6, 2021, the report found that fewer than 10 individuals were charged.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf the more than 700 federal cases in which charges were publicly available a year after these events, fewer than ten were for individuals who were serving in the military at the time,\u201d the IDA said. \u201cBased on the size of the military relative to the general population and considering the rate of charges for males and females, we find no evidence that service members were charged at a different rate than the members of the general population.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the Biden administration was <a href=\"https:\/\/americanfaith.com\/biden-admin-accused-of-funding-program-linking-christian-conservative-groups-to-nazi-ideologies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accused<\/a> of allocating funds from an anti-terrorism initiative to a university program that critics say links Christian and conservative groups, including the Republican Party, with Nazi ideologies.<\/p>\n<p>The funding in question comes from the Department of Homeland Security\u2019s (DHS) Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program (TVTP).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\n<br \/><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/americanfaith.com\/dod-office-holds-book-discussion-on-far-right-terrorism\/\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Pentagon office overseeing special operations and irregular warfare held a discussion for a book on so-called far-right terrorism, according to a report from The Daily Caller.
