At the time of writing, it is unknown what started the fire.<\/p>\n
\nFootage shared by photographer James Nowak with KBTX shows that the fire at Feather Crest Farms is burning on the south end near Democrat Road. Still no word on what started it. <\/p>\n

Feather Crest Farms CEO Sam Krouse told a local news agency<\/a>, \u201cThe fire affected two chicken houses on site, and we are very sad to say one house had chickens in it at the time that have been lost. We are thankful for the swift actions of our entire team and that they are all safe. We also deeply appreciate the first responders who reached the farm quickly and helped to prevent any further damage.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBREAKING: A few hours ago a massive fire took place at the Feather Crest Farm Chicken Plant in Brady, Texas.<\/p>\n
The company that one this farm has been in business since 1968 and produces over 300 MILLION eggs annually.<\/p>\n

The fires come as the World Economic Forum (WEF) and C40 Cities have expressed an interest in reducing meat consumption for the sake of \u201cclimate change.\u201d<\/p>\n
C40 Cities is a network<\/a> of mayors working to \u201cconfront the climate crisis. <\/p>\n
American Faith reported<\/a> that 14 cities in the United States are part of a plan to\u00a0weed<\/a>\u00a0out meat and dairy products and private vehicle ownership.<\/p>\n
American cities involved in the agenda include Austin, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Seattle.<\/p>\n
Some of the \u201cambitious targets\u201d described by C40 include 0kg of meat consumption, 0kg of dairy consumption, 0% household food waste, and 0 private vehicles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
