Begg answered \u201cyes,\u201d but included several caveats. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople may not like this answer–but I asked the grandmother, \u2018Does your grandson understand your belief in Jesus?\u2019 \u2018Yes.\u2019 \u2018Does your grandson understand that your belief in Jesus makes it such that you can\u2019t countenance in any affirming way the choices that he has made in life?\u2019 \u2018Yes.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cI said, \u2018Well then, okay. As long as he knows that, then I suggest that you do go to the ceremony. And I suggest that you buy them a gift.\u2019 \u2018Oh,\u2019 she said. \u2018What?\u2019 She was caught off guard.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI said, \u2018Well, here\u2019s the thing: your love for them may catch them off guard, but your absence will simply reinforce the fact that they said, \u2018These people are what I always thought: judgmental, critical, unprepared to countenance anything.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Begg added, \u201cWe\u2019re going to have to take that risk a lot more if we want to build bridges into the hearts and lives of those who don\u2019t understand Jesus and don\u2019t understand that he is a King.\u201d<\/p>\n
Vitagliano said AFR representatives had a phone call with Truth for Life<\/em> representatives.\u00a0<\/p>\n\u201cWe were all in agreement that homosexual marriage is just as the Bible declares it, it’s a faux marriage,\u201d Vitagliano said. \u201cIt’s not an actual marriage. It is a sinful union.\u201d<\/p>\n
The two sides, Vitagliano added, could not reach an agreement on the issue of the wedding advice.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a critical issue in the body of Christ right now,\u201d Vitagliano told American Family News. \u201cAnd this is not only the wrong counsel, but it is deeply disturbing for Christians who want to hold the line against the cultural impact of the LGBTQ agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n
