If I can do it, you can do it also,\u201d she declared. \u201cI have one arm and became a college All-American. I want people to know that God gave me the platform and the ability to play a sport I love, and they also have the ability to do what they want to \u2014 with God by their side.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pavey said the film&#8217;s release \u201cfeels surreal.\u201d \u201cI never really thought I had a story to tell, but now that it&#8217;s made, I&#8217;m a bit nervous but excited to have the movie reach kids and people that have been told they can&#8217;t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI Can\u201d not only shares Pavey\u2019s miraculous story, it also gives viewers insight into her family&#8217;s struggles.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-box align-left left\" itemscope=\"\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\"><picture width=\"400\" height=\"597\"><source type=\"image\/webp\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.christianpost.com\/images\/cache\/image\/15\/03\/150326_w_400_597.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.christianpost.com\/images\/cache\/image\/15\/03\/150326_w_400_597.jpeg\" class=\"type:primaryImage\" width=\"400\" height=\"597\"\/><\/source><\/picture><figcaption class=\"caption\"><span class=\"photo-des\">&#8220;I Can&#8221; movie poster, 2023<\/span> | <span class=\"credit\">I Can Movie<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The film\u2019s director, Tyler Sansom, who&#8217;s also the family&#8217;s pastor, said he\u2019s known the Paveys for over a decade and has wanted to share their story with the world for some time.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The lead pastor of <a href=\"https:\/\/churchanywhere.us\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Church Anywhere<\/a> said he was told \u201cNo\u201d several times before the Paveys decided to share their journey with audiences across the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Katelyn, I&#8217;ve played pickup basketball with her in the past; I knew she was a phenomenal athlete. In my mind, I thought that&#8217;s a great story; let&#8217;s tell that story. But when I found out the mom and dad part of it, I knew there was something deeper there that could relate to a lot of different people,\u201d Sansom told CP.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Paveys had to first share their struggles with Katelyn and her sisters before they were OK with their pastor making the film.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It relates universally. We may not have a daughter that has one arm \u2014 many people don&#8217;t have that \u2014 but every person has something from their past that they have guilt and shame for,\u201d Sansom revealed. \u201cWe&#8217;ve all done something in our past that we&#8217;re not proud of, and I&#8217;m excited for people to hear that with God, they can overcome that. In fact, not only will you overcome it, but He will use it for His kingdom. He loves taking stuff from your past, redeeming them, and then using it in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.icanmovie.info\/?fbclid=IwAR2YmOCbbxvTOh2MtQeSiBGZK-yjwNCUsy396sYwsbSHFmsJMGcUTatiye4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I Can<\/a>\u201d has already won awards for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor at the Florida Faith and Family Film Festival.
