Former President Donald Trump\u2019s presidential campaign has criticized Democrat Joe Biden and the White House for the president\u2019s \u201cappalling and insulting\u201d behavior towards Christians on Easter.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is appalling and insulting that Joe Biden\u2019s White House prohibited children from submitting religious egg designs for their Easter Art Event, and declared Easter Sunday as \u2018Trans Day of Visibility,\u2019\u201d Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told Breitbart News over the weekend. <\/p>\n
\u201cSadly, these are just two more examples of the Biden Administration\u2019s years-long assault on the Christian faith. We call on Joe Biden\u2019s failing campaign and White House to issue an apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe tomorrow is for one celebration only \u2014 the resurrection of Jesus Christ.\u201d<\/p>\n
The comments come after Biden issued an\u00a0official proclamation\u00a0as president of the United States on Good Friday declaring that Easter Sunday this year will be \u201cTransgender Day of Visibility.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation\u2019s commitment to forming a more perfect Union \u2014 where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives,\u201d Biden said.<\/p>\n
Children of the National Guard have also been banned from submitting\u00a0religious-themed Easter\u00a0egg designs for the 2024 \u201cCelebrating National Guard Families\u201d art event at the White House.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to the event\u2019s flyer, an Easter egg design submission \u201cmust not include any questionable content, religious symbols, overtly religious themes, or partisan political statements.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
