In the filings, they asked the judge to issue an order finding the companies are actively violating state law and enjoining them from \u201conline publication or distribution of sexual material harmful to minors without implementing reasonable age verification methods.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the legal complaints seek to impose civil penalties of $10,000 per day for every day the companies continue to violate the state law protecting minors from illicit content. The total penalties against Multi Media, LLC, amounted to $1,780,000 and $1,670,000 for Hammy Media.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/news\/local\/article\/pornhub-alternatives-19196631.php\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">according to MySA<\/a>, xHamster blocked Texas users and Chaturbate added an apparatus requiring visitors to provide a driver\u2019s license before gaining access to the site. Those actions were taken in response to the lawsuits filed by Paxton.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to other litigation against similar platforms, the attorney general said Pornhub \u2014 the world\u2019s largest pornography platform \u2014\u00a0has \u201cdisabled its website in Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSites like Pornhub are on the run because Texas has a law that aims to prevent them from showing harmful, obscene material to children,\u201d he said. \u201cIn Texas, companies cannot get away with showing porn to children.
