{"id":16188,"date":"2024-03-31T16:36:15","date_gmt":"2024-03-31T11:06:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cccfornews.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/31\/man-arrested-outside-of-church-with-handgun-charged-with-attempted-shooting\/"},"modified":"2024-03-31T16:36:15","modified_gmt":"2024-03-31T11:06:15","slug":"man-arrested-outside-of-church-with-handgun-charged-with-attempted-shooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cccfornews.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/31\/man-arrested-outside-of-church-with-handgun-charged-with-attempted-shooting\/","title":{"rendered":"Man Arrested Outside of Church with Handgun Charged With Attempted Shooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_82\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p>A man has been charged with attempting to shoot churchgoers at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/virginia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Virginia<\/a>\u00a0church after he allegedly posted threatening messages online and showed up on Sunday with a semi-automatic handgun and two loaded magazines.<\/p>\n<p>35-year-old Rui Jiang was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/virginia-man-charged-attempted-church-shooting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">charged<\/a>\u00a0by the Department of Justice last week with attempted obstruction of free exercise of religious beliefs, use and carry of a firearm during a crime of violence, and making threats.<\/p>\n<p>Jiang was arrested in September 2023 outside of the Park Valley Church in Haymarket, Virginia, reportedly carrying a handgun and two loaded magazines after a member of the church told authorities about social media posts threatening violence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo the families of those men about to be slain \u2013 I am sorry for what I have done and about to do.
