The International Organization for Migration (IOM), a group connected to the United Nations (UN), looked<\/a> to hire a coordinator to facilitate migrant flights in the United States.<\/p>\n The flight management responsibilities include \u201cbrief arrivals on procedures, escort them to the immigration area, quality check relevant paperwork, assist arrivals through procedures and ensure Customs and Border Protection (CBP) stamps all relevant documents; guide the distribution of hotel, transportation and meal vouchers; monitor the processing of Miscellaneous Charges Orders (MCOs); and ensure arrivals have the support they need during transit.\u201d<\/p>\n Migrants must also be \u201cescorted to their connecting flights, ground transportation or hotel in a way that is efficient and effective.\u201d<\/p>\n The IOM describes<\/a> itself as \u201cthe leading intergovernmental organization in the field of migration and is committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits migrants and society. IOM is part of the United Nations system, as a related organization.\u201d<\/p>\n In August 2023, the State Department announced<\/a> that it granted $16 million to the IMO for \u201ccapacity building efforts through the Western Hemisphere Regional Migration Program (WHP).\u201d<\/p>\n American Faith reported<\/a> that President Joe Biden has clandestinely flown hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants from Latin American airports to 43 U.S. cities.<\/p>\n The secretive program, concealed from public knowledge, involved a minimum of 320,000 illegal immigrants, acknowledged by the administration as \u201cinadmissible\u201d immigrants, a\u00a0significantly higher number<\/a>\u00a0than previously disclosed.<\/p>\n The investigation highlights the administration\u2019s assertion that it is keeping the cities confidential due to concerns that \u201cbad actors\u201d might \u201cundermine law enforcement efforts to \u2018secure the United States border\u2019 if they knew the volume of CBP One traffic processed at each port of entry,\u201d the Center for Immigration Studies said, citing an email it received.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
