After a hail storm destroyed hundreds of panels at Fighting Jay\u2019s Solar farm in Fort Bend County, Texas, some have raised concerns that toxic chemicals could leak into water sources.<\/p>\n
Nick Kaminski, a resident of the area, told KRIV-TV that he fears \u201chighly toxic chemicals\u201d could be \u201cleaking into our water tables.\u201d<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for Representative Troy Nehls (R-TX), Emily Matthews, told Fox News Digital<\/a> that the damage and potential water contamination \u201cshowcase[es] how our country cannot solely rely on or fully transition to renewable energy sources like this.\u201d<\/p>\n Daniel Turner, the executive director of the group Power the Future, told the outlet that the storm serves as a reminder of the threats against the U.S. power grid if the nation relies too heavily upon solar energy.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s this enormous shell game happening by the Biden administration, by the environmental left, presenting wind and solar as perfectly green, clean, and carbon-neutral,\u201d Turner said. \u201cThey use all of these buzzwords. But they\u2019re none of that and they also have enormous drawbacks.
