Kennedy Jr. announced that his running mate for the 2024 presidential election is Nicole Shanahan.<\/p>\n<p>Shanahan is the ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin and has previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/03\/26\/us\/politics\/rfk-jr-vice-president-nicole-shanahan.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">donated<\/a> to Democrats. <\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/nicole-shanahan-rfk-jr-running-mate-4ca2192ccfa0a0cbfea6026e792dd4c8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Associated Press<\/a>, Shanahan leads the Bia-Echo Foundation, an \u201corganization she founded to direct money toward issues including women\u2019s reproductive science, criminal justice reform and environmental cause.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bia-Echo Foundation has given more than $11 million to leftist causes, including organizations pushing shorter prison sentences and aiding lawyers representing illegal immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>Shanahan also <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/03\/27\/us-news\/robert-f-kennedy-jr-s-vp-pick-has-a-long-history-of-supporting-criminal-justice-reform\/?utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=nypost\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">supported<\/a> Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon, giving him $150,000 for his 2020 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>In announcing Shanahan as his running mate, Kennedy said, \u201cI managed to find a technologist at the forefront of AI. She has spent the last decade relying on neural networks, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge science to identify abuses in our government,\u201d he said. \u201cShe understands that the health of every American is a national security issue and a national security risk. Her work has proven time and again that health drives our economy and it is the foundation of our mental health, our national happiness, our ability to lead the world and innovation and prosperity and at peace.
