That number dropped to 38% between 2011-2013. Thirty percent of American adults attended religious services between 2021-2023.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty-one percent of Americans attend weekly services, 9% attend \u201calmost every week,\u201d and 11% attend church or religious services once a month.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of U.S. adults (56%) \u201cseldom\u201d or \u201cnever\u201d attend.<\/p>\n<p>Between 2021-2023, 21% of U.S. adults attended church services every week, with Latter-day Saints, or Mormons, leading service attendance with 54%.<\/p>\n<p>Protestant groups, including nondenominational Christians, are the second-greatest church-goers, with 30% attending weekly services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMajorities of Jewish, Orthodox, Buddhist and Hindu Americans say they seldom or never attend religious services,\u201d Gallup wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Muslims, however, have increased mosque attendance from previous years. Between 2000-2003, 34% of Muslims attended religious services. Between 2021-2023, 38% of Muslims attended religious services weekly or nearly every week, according to Gallup.<\/p>\n<p>Among all U.S. groups, only about 3 in 10 adults attend religious services. Gallup explained that church attendance will likely continue to decline due to \u201cyounger Americans\u2019 weaker attachments to religion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Much of the decline in religious service attendance can be <a href=\"https:\/\/americanfaith.com\/nearly-30-of-americans-identify-as-religious-nones\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">attributed<\/a> to the rise of religious \u201cnones\u201d across the United States.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/religion\/2024\/01\/24\/religious-nones-in-america-who-they-are-and-what-they-believe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">poll<\/a>\u00a0from Pew Research found that 28% of Americans are religious \u201cnones.\u201d In 2022, 31% of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/short-reads\/2024\/01\/24\/has-the-rise-of-religious-nones-come-to-an-end-in-the-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Americans<\/a>\u00a0were religious \u201cnones.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of those \u201cnones,\u201d 17% are atheist, 20% are agnostic, and 63% are \u201cnothing in particular.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sixty percent of the religious \u201cnones\u201d in the poll reported that they \u201cquestion a lot of religious teachings.\u201d Forty-three percent of \u201cnones\u201d believe that religion does \u201cmore harm than good\u201d in American society,\u201d while 41% reported that religion does \u201cequal amounts of good and harm.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/americanfaith.com\/church-attendance-declines-across-most-u-s-groups\/\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New data from Gallup revealed that church attendance has declined across most religious groups in the United States.
