Charles Hamilton, the head of\u00a0Army Materiel Command,\u00a0has been temporarily suspended from the army, according to Army Secretary Christine Wormuth\u2019s spokeswoman.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton is accused of using his position to influence the approval of a lieutenant colonel\u2019s command assignment.<\/p>\n<p>The female lieutenant colonel was initially interviewed by an assessment board, which had unanimously voted not to recommend her for command.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/army-four-star-general-suspended-investigation-alleged-misconduct\">Fox News<\/a>:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">The four-star general allegedly persuaded the board to give the lieutenant colonel a second interview. Before that interview took place, Hamilton reportedly contacted the second interview's potential panelists to discuss the candidates.\n\nThe second panel also voted against the candidate.
