{"id":15425,"date":"2024-03-25T01:11:35","date_gmt":"2024-03-24T19:41:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cccfornews.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/25\/actor-ryan-phillippe-craving-relationship-with-god-after-movie-about-christian-missionary\/"},"modified":"2024-03-25T01:11:35","modified_gmt":"2024-03-24T19:41:35","slug":"actor-ryan-phillippe-craving-relationship-with-god-after-movie-about-christian-missionary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cccfornews.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/25\/actor-ryan-phillippe-craving-relationship-with-god-after-movie-about-christian-missionary\/","title":{"rendered":"Actor Ryan Phillippe &#8216;Craving&#8217; Relationship With God After Movie About Christian Missionary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-cbn-component-name=\"wysiwyg_editor\">\n<p>Actor Ryan Phillippe said he began \u201ccraving\u201d a relationship with God after going on a \u201cspiritual journey\u201d when he finished filming his latest movie, a story about a Christian missionary in the Kalahari desert.<\/p>\n<p>The film, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt27682129\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Prey<\/a>,\u201d chronicles the lives of a young missionary couple who leave their station after being threatened with murder by an extremist militant group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Listen to them on the latest\u00a0episode\u00a0of \u201cQuick Start\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"482\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/playlist.megaphone.fm\/?p=CCBNC3640195386\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s interesting because I was kind of in a darker place when we filmed this, and it was right after filming it where I went on this spiritual journey where I started going really deep inside,\u201d Phillippe\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/ryan-phillippe-craving-relationship-god-darker-place-a-lot-time-prayer\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recently told Fox News<\/a>\u00a0of his experience after wrapping filming for \u201cPrey.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got back into reading the Bible and various other religious tomes, but I found myself drawn to this notion of spirituality,\u201d he continued. \u201cYou get to a point in life, a certain age, and the things that you thought would bring you pleasure or make you feel satisfied \u2014 these would be success or money \u2014 and it doesn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Based on his comments, it\u2019s not exactly clear whether Phillippe is seeking to have a relationship with the God of the Bible. It is encouraging, however, to see he is exploring spiritual matters and his comments should compel Christians to pray he finds the conviction of the Holy Spirit and comes to Christ.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m so thankful for what I\u2019ve been given and for the experiences that I\u2019ve had and for my children and everything else,\u201d the celebrity said. \u201cBut I wanted to have a relationship and understanding with God, and I was craving that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cAnd I\u2019ve got to tell you, since I started that journey, I have not been more at peace. My depression is gone.
