18-year-old transgender Ash Cooper, formerly Joshua Cooper, was sentenced to 15 to 40 years in a Pennsylvania state prison after pleading guilty to murdering a 12-year-old girl in November 2022.<\/p>\n
NBC Philadelphia\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0Morgan Connors was shot and killed at the \u201cTop of the Ridge Trailer Park on Gibson Road in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.\u201d<\/p>\n Cooper came under fire after one of his friends called to say the teenager had used an Instagram chat to say he had killed someone and needed help getting rid of the body. <\/p>\n \u201cThe legs and feet of someone covered in blood\u201d were visible in the video chat, according to the friend.<\/p>\n The Buck County District Attorney\u2019s Office\u00a0revealed<\/a>\u00a0that Cooper used his father\u2019s gun to commit the murder. <\/p>\n He \u201c[replaced] the batteries his father had removed to make the combination lock inoperable.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a horrible tragedy, a tragedy no family should ever have to undergo,\u201d Bucks County Court Judge Jeffrey L. Finley said.<\/p>\n
