Actor Ryan Phillippe recently shared he started \u201ccraving\u201d a relationship with God following a \u201cspiritual journey\u201d after his latest movie, titled \u201cPrey,\u201d completed filming.<\/p>\n
As Faithwire<\/a> reported, \u201cPrey\u201d is about the lives of a young missionary couple who left their station in the Kalahari desert because they were under a death threat by an extremist militant group.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter crashing their aircraft, they must battle man and beast for their lives,\u201d a synopsis of the film posted to IMDb<\/a> reads.<\/p>\n In a recent interview with Fox News<\/a>, Phillippe spoke about his experience after the filming of \u201cPrey\u201d was completed.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s interesting because I was kind of in a darker place when we filmed this, and it was right after filming it where I went on this spiritual journey where I started going really deep inside,\u201d Phillippe said.<\/p>\n \u201cI got back into reading the Bible and various other religious tomes, but I found myself drawn to this notion of spirituality,\u201d he continued. \u201cYou get to a point in life, a certain age, and the things that you thought would bring you pleasure or make you feel satisfied \u2014 these would be success or money \u2014 and it doesn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m so thankful for what I\u2019ve been given and for the experiences that I\u2019ve had and for my children and everything else,\u201d the actor said. \u201cBut I wanted to have a relationship and understanding with God, and I was craving that.\u201d<\/p>\n During the interview with Fox News, Phillippe also shared how that spiritual journey has transformed his life.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd I\u2019ve got to tell you, since I started that journey, I have not been more at peace. My depression is gone.
