TOPIC:\u00a0<\/strong>Avoid Bribery And Corruption (Seeds Of Destiny 20 March 2024)<\/p>\n SCRIPTURE:<\/strong>\u00a0For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and\u00a0fire\u00a0shall consume the tabernacles of bribery. Job 15:34.<\/p>\n THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:<\/strong>\u00a0Both the briber and the bribed are implicated in corruption and the consequent disaster.<\/p>\n MESSAGE:<\/strong><\/p>\n The Bible makes it clear that the love of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Due to the desire to make money by all means, many people indulge in all sort of evil practices. The money they get from such practices is called evil money.<\/p>\n One example of such evil money is the proceeds of bribery. When one partakes in bribery, money is either given or taken in order to have one\u2019s way. There are people who expect you to give them money to do what they are being paid salary to do.<\/p>\n Job 15:34 says: From the above scripture, we can see that investment from bribery has no future. The reason God consumes the tabernacle of the bribery with fire is that He hates bribery.<\/p>\n 1 Samuel 12:3, 4, Samuel gave a testimony of himself saying: And because Samuel was an upright man, free from bribery, he prayed and thunder and fire fell. Beloved, God hates bribery.<\/p>\n REMEMBER THIS:\u00a0<\/strong>Both the briber and the bribed are implicated in corruption and the consequent disaster.<\/p>\n ASSIGNMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n PRAYER:\u00a0<\/strong>Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the temptation of giving or receiving bribe. Bribery is a form of inducement. It is giving people things in order to have your way. To bribe someone, therefore, is to dishonestly persuade him or her to act in one\u2019s favour using money or other kinds of gifts as inducement. It is a sinful practice. Both the briber and the bribed are implicated in corruption and the consequent disaster.<\/p>\n

Behold, here I am: witness against me before the Lord, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.
