{"id":14280,"date":"2024-03-16T12:34:51","date_gmt":"2024-03-16T07:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cccfornews.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/16\/amid-season-4-streaming-delay-the-chosen-aims-to-reach-one-billion-including-prisons\/"},"modified":"2024-03-16T12:34:51","modified_gmt":"2024-03-16T07:04:51","slug":"amid-season-4-streaming-delay-the-chosen-aims-to-reach-one-billion-including-prisons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cccfornews.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/16\/amid-season-4-streaming-delay-the-chosen-aims-to-reach-one-billion-including-prisons\/","title":{"rendered":"Amid Season 4 Streaming Delay, The Chosen Aims to Reach One Billion, Including Prisons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.swncdn.com\/via\/images\/2022\/10\/07\/27717\/27717-the-chosen-3_source_file.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A nonprofit Christian organization has partnered up with \u201cThe Chosen\u201d to bring the hit series to a billion people worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Stan Jantz, CEO of the Come and See Foundation, recently told <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.cbn.com\/news\/entertainment\/chosen-makes-big-announcement-amid-streaming-delay-quest-bring-show-one-billion\">CBN News<\/a> about his group\u2019s mission to \u201csupport \u2018The Chosen\u2019\u201d, which recently released its fourth season, \u00a0and plans to bring the show to one billion people.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cWe have three \u2026 pillars, and one is to ensure that all seven seasons get made,\u201d Jantz explained. \u201cNo. 2 is the translation piece, [to] translate every episode of every season into 600 languages, which is a huge task \u2014 never been done before [on] that scale.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He added that the third effort is partnering with global ministries to take \u201cThe Chosen\u201d to the \u201cfarthest places of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited about\u2026 Bible engagement,\u201d he said, noting many people end up opening the Word of God in light of watching \u201cThe Chosen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYouVersion is finding a real uptick in their Bible engagement by showing \u2018The Chosen\u2019 on their apps,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>As CBN News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithwire.com\/2024\/03\/12\/dallas-jenkins-reveals-bad-news-about-the-chosen-season-four\/\">previously reported<\/a>, \u201cThe Chosen\u201d creator Dallas Jenkins recently published a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/watch\/?ref=embed_video&amp;v=363245733353709\">video<\/a> on Facebook regarding the show\u2019s release of its fourth season, which released in theaters in February but has not yet been released to streaming due to a delay.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, however, Jantz shared that the upcoming season will be released into prisons through Prison Fellowship and to churches as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re seeing that this is a tool that they\u2019re using to engage these inmates and then, as chaplains, take them through that discipleship journey,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Come And See\u2019s website also provides <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comeandseefoundation.org\/church\">information<\/a> on how churches can bring season to their respective congregations for free.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of our goals too is to keep this show free for all,\u201d Jantz said regarding participating churches or prisons. \u201cPeople can watch it and not have to pay for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He hopes the Prison Fellowship partnership would impact both inmates and their families.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that healing\u2026 can take place too of maybe there\u2019s been resentment, or confusion, or whatever kind of happens when someone is incarcerated,\u201d Jantz said.<\/p>\n<p><em>Image credit: \u00a9The Chosen<\/em><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><em>Milton Quintanilla is a freelance writer and content creator.
