The parent company of a firm constructing a manufacturing facility near Midwest military bases is connected to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).<\/p>\n
Cnano USA\u2019s parent company, Cnano Jiangsu Technology, employs CCP members and was once associated with a military program, according to a report from the Daily Caller<\/a>.<\/p>\n The facility is located about 70 miles from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.<\/p>\n The information was revealed during a Kansas House Committee on Commerce, Labor, and Economic Development hearing.<\/p>\n \u201cI absolutely share the same concerns as all of you regarding foreign actors that could be a threat to our economy, our security, our safety and sincerely appreciate Kansas legislation\u2019s effort to protect those fundamental interests,\u201d said Shawn Montgomery, Cnano USA president.<\/p>\n Representative Jake LaTurner (R-KS) addressed the revelation on X. \u201cCnano USA\u2019s testimony failed to adequately address the overwhelming evidence that ties their parent company, Cnano Jiangsu, to President Xi, the CCP, and Chinese intelligence services,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI applaud the Kansas legislature for working diligently to ensure we can protect our supply chains and crucial military bases from America\u2019s greatest national security threat\u2014the Chinese Communist Party.\u201d<\/p>\n
