TOPIC:<\/strong>\u00a0Danger Of Compromise (DCLM Daily Manna 11 March 2024)<\/p>\n KEY VERSE:\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cBe ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what\u00a0fellowship\u00a0hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?\u201d (2 Corinthians 6:14).<\/p>\n TEXT:<\/strong>\u00a02 Corinthians 6:14-18 (KJV)<\/p>\n 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?<\/p>\n 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?<\/p>\n 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.<\/p>\n 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.<\/p>\n 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.<\/p>\n MESSAGE:<\/strong><\/p>\n Neville Chamberlain was known for his policy of appeasement. As the prime minister of Britain before World War II, he knew that the country was still weary from the First World War and wanted to avoid a European war at all costs. The problem was that at the same time, Hitler was planning to overrun Europe, including Britain. Chamberlain did not want Britain to have to confront Hitler and his army. So, in September of 1938, he reached an agreement with Hitler that resulted in the Munich Pact. Italy and France joined Britain in agreeing to surrender parts of Czechoslovakia to Germany in return for Hitler\u2019s agreement not to invade any other European country. Chamberlain confidently came home proclaiming, \u201cPeace in our time.\u201d They really believed that by giving into Hitler\u2019s demands, he would stop or limit his aggression. But Hitler arrogantly ignored the pact, taking most of Czechoslovakia and invading Poland. The Munich Pact is now a universal symbol of the failure of the policy of appeasement.<\/p>\n Today\u2019s text calls believers to avoid sinful compromise with unbelievers. Spiritually, the believer and the unbeliever are so different that they should no longer be yoked together in intimate relationships or fellowship. Any compromise between them in marriage, fellowship, partnership or intimate friendship is bound to have dire consequences.<\/p>\n Compromising your faith as a believer can be very dangerous. The Scripture warns us to avoid compromise in all matters especially in marriage, business partnership and worship. The examples of Jehoshaphat and Solomon remind us of the sad end of compromise with unbelievers (1 Kings 11:1-6; 22:1-4; 2 Chronicles 20:35-37).<\/p>\n Have you gone into compromise consciously or unconsciously?
