{"id":12194,"date":"2024-03-02T01:57:18","date_gmt":"2024-03-01T20:27:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cccfornews.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/02\/air-force-academy-leadership-summit-features-transgender-activist\/"},"modified":"2024-03-02T01:57:18","modified_gmt":"2024-03-01T20:27:18","slug":"air-force-academy-leadership-summit-features-transgender-activist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cccfornews.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/02\/air-force-academy-leadership-summit-features-transgender-activist\/","title":{"rendered":"Air Force Academy Leadership Summit Features Transgender Activist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The United States Air Force Academy\u2019s leadership summit featured transgender activist Lieutenant Colonel Bree Fram, a man identifying as a woman.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of the National Character and Leadership Symposium was \u201cEmbrace Culture, Empower People.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Fram\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breefram.com\/about-me.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>, \u201c\u200bBree came out publicly as transgender on the day the transgender ban in the military was dropped in 2016. She transitioned while in a command position and served through the re-imposition of a transgender ban from 2019-2021. She is currently one of the highest ranking-out transgender officers in the United States military.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fram \u201cco-leads the Department of the Air Force LGBTQ+ Initiatives Team, dedicated to eliminating barriers to LGBTQ+ military service in the Air and Space Force.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll too often, I hear leaders talk about providing everyone with dignity and respect like it\u2019s an inspirational goal. That\u2019s not good enough. Dignity and respect is the bare minimum,\u201d Fram said during his speech. \u201cIt\u2019s the floor of where we can be. We must set our sights higher and focus on intentional inclusivity, because there are still far too many people out there \u2013 not just LGBTQ individuals \u2013 that feel marginalized, shut out, or discriminated against.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo for all of you out there, I ask you to set out your symbols of pride, share your pronouns in your email, particularly if you\u2019re a person who doesn\u2019t think the need to, initiate difficult conversations about racial and gender barriers, and share a bit of your vulnerability in a way that draws others in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou all have the power to take intentionally inclusive actions to ensure the multiple perspectives that we know make us stronger as we devise winning war-fighting strategies get heard,\u201d Fram said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">WATCH\ud83c\udfa5: The U.S. Air Force Academy hosted a transgender Pentagon official for a symposium on  inclusion. Our military is focused on transgender dogma while wars rage on two continents. <\/p>\n<p>Here he is at a pride celebration calling for &#8220;intentional inclusivity&#8221; in the military \ud83e\uddf5 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6BAbEwrS4j\">pic.twitter.com\/6BAbEwrS4j<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Spencer Lindquist \ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8 (@SpencerLndqst) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SpencerLndqst\/status\/1763327970893254985?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 29, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The call for greater inclusivity comes as the Pentagon\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessdefense.gov\/docs\/ndis\/2023-NDIS.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">released<\/a>\u00a0a strategy calling for the development of a defense-industrial base focusing on diversity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLack of diversity leads to a lack of new ideas and innovation,\u201d the Pentagon states.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is important to ensure that we have an industrial base that reflects the nation itself,\u201d the report says, describing a goal of recruiting individuals from \u201cnon-traditional communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the Pentagon pushes DEI, the Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs Chairman Glenn Grothman (R-WI) <a href=\"https:\/\/americanfaith.com\/pentagon-calls-for-greater-dei-programs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">opened<\/a> a hearing on the \u201cRisks of Progressive Ideologies in the U.S. Military.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur military is grappling with the Biden Administration\u2019s social experiments of integrating principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion\u2014or \u2018DEI\u2019\u2014into their ranks,\u201d he said. \u201cThe Pentagon often fails to recognize the financial burden these priorities place on taxpayers. DEI managers often making over $180,000 per year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the hearing, Grothman\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/release\/grothman-announces-hearing-on-progressive-ideologies-in-the-u-s-military%EF%BF%BC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>\u00a0in a statement, \u201cOur military has one primary function: defend Americans and American interests at home and abroad. At least this was the primary function until the Biden Administration force fed progressivism into the branches of the armed services.
