Former Boyzone star Shane Lynch has accused popstar Taylor Swift of engaging in demonic practices and satanic rituals during her sold-out shows and warned of the damaging effects such music has on children.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI think when you\u2019re looking at a lot of the artists out there, a lot of their stage shows are satanic rituals live in front of 20,000 people without them realizing and recognizing,\u201d Lynch recently told<\/a> Ireland\u2019s Sunday World.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ll see a lot of hoods up and masks on and fire ceremonies. Even down to Taylor Swift \u2014 one of the biggest artists in the world \u2014 you watch one of her shows and she has two or three different demonic rituals to do with the pentagrams on the ground, to do with all sorts of stuff on her stage. \u2026 But to a lot of people it\u2019s just art and that\u2019s how people are seeing it, unfortunately.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 47-year-old Irish singer said there\u2019s a \u201clot of hidden satanic\u201d messaging in music today, yet most listeners are oblivious to it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen it comes to a lot of the music that\u2019s out there at the moment \u2014 more of the hip-hop side of things \u2014 there is a lot of hidden satanic and a lot of evil within them, including down to the beats. It\u2019s very real,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMusic attaches to your emotions,\u201d Lynch added, \u201cIt has a connection to your spirit and how you feel. That\u2019s why I\u2019ve stopped listening to those types of music myself because it doesn\u2019t suit my spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lynch, a father of two and a professing Christian, warned that certain music is damaging to society in general and especially children.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt 100 percent has an effect on society. I think our society has never been worse in many areas, and it starts from our children,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s coming in right at our children from the very beginning to get them to sway away from anything Godly, anything controlled or disciplined. It\u2019s getting wilder and wilder out there for a reason. \u2026 Music is dangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift, 34, has previously been accused of promoting demonic activity through her music; in her 2020 \u201cWillow\u201d music video,<\/a> she is shown observing an occult ritual and previously said the song \u201csounds like casting a spell to make someone fall in love with you.\u201d<\/p>\n

In one remix of the song, she posted a photo<\/a> of herself on social media with the caption, \u201cWitches be like \u2018Sometimes I just want to listen to music while pining away\/sulking\/staring out a window.\u2019 It\u2019s me. I\u2019m witches.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also referenced witch hunts in her 2017 album Reputation.<\/em><\/p>\n

“They\u2019re burning all the witches, even if you aren\u2019t one,” she sings in the song \u201cI Did Something Bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

A 2023 nationwide survey<\/a> of 1,011 adults found that 74% of respondents said they believe in God, 69% said they believe in angels, 67% expressed belief in Heaven, and 58% said they believe in the devil.<\/p>\n

Kira Fontana<\/a>, who worked as a vocal coach to major labels and shows such as “Glee” and “The Voice” before embracing Christianity, told The Christian Post <\/a>that the longer she spent in the music industry, the more disillusioned she became by the darkness she witnessed all around her.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s darker than most people could ever imagine,\u201d Fontana said. \u201cIf you look at the content of the lyrics of the songs that are played on the radio, it\u2019s unbelievably immoral and dark and anti-Jesus. When I started to see the sheer percentage of songs and videos that were leaning heavily in that direction, I came to recognize that it could not be an accident. People in very powerful positions are backing it; there are gatekeepers who are wanting this content that we hear now to be prevalent in our society.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s akin to poisoning our community, and our kids are drinking from a very, very, very destructive cup,\u201d she said. \u201cI saw the effect on kids as I worked in the city, and that effect is spreading. LA is the communication center for this planet; when you go to other countries, you still see content made in Los Angeles. It became a really heavy responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople can try to minimize what comes out of Hollywood and say, \u2018Oh, it\u2019s just entertainment,\u2019 but it has a tremendous effect on the psyches and souls of our young people,\u201d she said. \u201cThe Church needs to stand up against this darkness because it\u2019s truly having a devastating effect on the next generation.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
