TOPIC:\u00a0<\/strong>The Ruin Of Reuben (Seeds Of Destiny 25 February 2024)<\/p>\n SCRIPTURE:<\/strong>\u00a0Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the\u00a0beginning\u00a0of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father\u2019s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch. Genesis 49:3-4.<\/em><\/p>\n THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:<\/strong>\u00a0Many people are in hell fire today because they had no respect for authority.<\/p>\n MESSAGE:<\/strong><\/p>\n We have been exploring the life of Reuben. We already know that Reuben was the first born of Jacob. He had the potentials to become great in life by being the supposed carrier of the Blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. But he missed out in life because of his bankruptcy of character \u2013 he defiled his father\u2019s bed.<\/p>\n Now, one character in Reuben that made him to defile his father\u2019s bed was lack of self-control.<\/p>\n Reuben lacked self-control. He could not control himself. That was why his father said he was as unstable as water.<\/p>\n Reuben could not control his passion and desires. At a time, you may see Reuben to be very calm and cool, but at another time, he could be as wild as the wind. He was as unstable as water.<\/p>\n You see, anyone who cannot control his desires cannot control his destiny. When you have no control over your passion, you have no control over your portion.<\/p>\n Now, the second manifestation of Reuben\u2019s bad character is his lack of respect for authority.<\/p>\n If he respected the authority of his father, he would not have slept with his father\u2019s wife.<\/p>\n When you see anyone today who has no respect for the authority of man and that of God, that person has no future with God. Many people are in prison today because they have no respect for authority. Many people are in hell fire today because they had no respect for authority.<\/p>\n That will not be your portion in Jesus\u2019 Name.<\/p>\n REMEMBER THIS:<\/strong>\u00a0Many people are in hell fire today because they had no respect for authority.<\/p>\n ASSIGNMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n PRAYER:<\/strong>\u00a0Lord, I receive the grace to exercise self-control and value the authorities over my life.
