Donald Trump appeared at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, promising that the \u201ccross of Christ\u201d will be protected under a 2024 Trump administration.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the event\u2019s attendees, Trump said, \u201cRemember, every communist regime throughout history has tried to stamp out the churches, just like every fascist regime has tried to co-opt them and control them, and, in America, the radical left is trying to do both at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n
He noted that such events are \u201creally dangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThey want to tear down crosses where they can and cover them up with social justice flags,\u201d Trump continued, explaining that leftist activists have also sought to remove George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Thomas Jefferson from schools and monuments.<\/p>\n
