{"id":11189,"date":"2024-02-24T04:16:17","date_gmt":"2024-02-23T22:46:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cccfornews.com\/index.php\/2024\/02\/24\/pro-life-researchers-take-legal-action-against-journal-after-abortion-studies-pulled-blatant-double-standards\/"},"modified":"2024-02-24T04:16:17","modified_gmt":"2024-02-23T22:46:17","slug":"pro-life-researchers-take-legal-action-against-journal-after-abortion-studies-pulled-blatant-double-standards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cccfornews.com\/index.php\/2024\/02\/24\/pro-life-researchers-take-legal-action-against-journal-after-abortion-studies-pulled-blatant-double-standards\/","title":{"rendered":"Pro-Life Researchers Take Legal Action Against Journal After Abortion Studies Pulled: &#8216;Blatant Double Standards&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_82\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p>Pro-life researchers announced they are taking legal action against Sage Journals after the publisher pulled their abortion studies.<\/p>\n<p>The move comes as Sage Journals <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/10.1177\/2333392819841211\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> on February 5 that the pro-life authors \u201cdeclared no conflicts of interest\u201d in the abortion studies, the publication has not used the same standard against studies authored by those affiliated with pro-abortion organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Two of the retracted studies analyzed emergency room visits related to complications of the abortion drug mifepristone and another study pertained to doctors performing abortions.<\/p>\n<p>Lead researcher and Charlotte Lozier Institute Vice President James Studnicki told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecollegefix.com\/journal-faces-legal-action-for-pulling-pro-life-papers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The College Fix<\/a> that the research complied with Sage\u2019s policies over conflicts of interest.
