The number is \u201ca small fraction\u201d of the Venezuelans held along the southern border, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>The move comes as President Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/4419806-biden-says-border-hasnt-been-secure-for-the-last-10-years\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">admitted<\/a> that the U.S. border has not been secure for \u201cthe last 10 years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked by a reporter if the border is secure, Biden said, \u201cNo, it\u2019s not,\u201d adding, \u201cI haven\u2019t believed that for the last 10 years, and I\u2019ve said it for the last 10 years. Give me the money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After Biden acknowledged the border crisis, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said in a statement, \u201cHouse Republicans have been sounding the alarm about the catastrophic effects of Presiden Biden\u2019s open border policies since he began his term. Last year, I sent a letter to the President to demand he take immediate executive action. He has thus far ignored by demands, and the please from big city mayors, border state governors, and the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The statement added, \u201cAmericans have lost faith in this President and won\u2019t be fooled by election year gimmicks that don\u2019t actually secure the border.
