Former Vice President Mike Pence announced that he is launching a project dedicated to promoting Conservative policies.<\/p>\n
Pence\u2019s \u201cAmerican Solutions Project\u201d was announced by Advancing American Freedom, an organization launched<\/a> in 2021 to promote traditional Conservative policies.<\/p>\n The former vice president told RealClearPolitics<\/a> that the United States was \u201cfounded on conservative principles that have stood the test of time. The Constitution and this great American experiment must not be swayed by movements or personalities, but must hold fast to the time-honored principles that have made America strong and prosperous and free.\u201d<\/p>\n While \u201cmany in the conservative movement have walked away from these principles, chasing the siren song of populism unmoored to conservative principles,\u201d Pence explained, the project will stay \u201ctrue to the ideals that have made America the greatest nation on earth and I know the American people will rally to our cause.\u201d<\/p>\n The Hill<\/a> obtained the project\u2019s main objectives: shaping political majorities in a shift away from the \u201cpopulist right,\u201d advocating for conservative policies, and protecting conservative principles.<\/p>\n Advancing American Freedom will spend $20 million on the effort.<\/p>\n Mike Pence, who launched a 2024 presidential campaign in June, dropped out of the race in October.<\/p>\n \u201cTo the American people, I say: This is not my time, but it is still your time,\u201d Pence said<\/a>.<\/p>\n During his campaign, a poll revealed<\/a> that over one-third of Republican voters would \u201cnever\u201d vote for the former vice president (35%).<\/p>\n Pence also previously voiced support<\/a> for federal legislation permitting abortion up to the 15th week of pregnancy.<\/p>\n During an interview on CNN, Pence declared, \u201cI think creating a minimum national standard for after a child is able to feel pain in the womb is an idea whose time has come.\u201d<\/p>\n On Twitter, he wrote, \u201cI\u2019m #ProLife and I don\u2019t apologize for it and I do believe the time has come for us to establish a minimum national standard of 15 weeks.
