In a worldwide study conducted by the Global Vaccine Data Network (GVDN), researchers have provided crucial insights into vaccine safety. <\/p>\n
The study, published at Elsevier, the world\u2019s leading scientific publisher, aimed to evaluate adverse events following vaccinations given in countries such as Denmark, New Zealand, Argentina and Canada. <\/p>\n
The research concluded safety concerns for conditions such as myocarditis, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, also identifying new safety signals. <\/p>\n
Some vaccines were also linked to a higher risk of blood clots in the brain, as well as an increased likelihood of Guillain-Barre syndrome, a neurological disorder in which the immune system attacks the nerves.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe size of the population in this study increased the possibility of identifying rare potential vaccine safety signals,\u201d lead author Krist\u00fdna Faksov\u00e1 of the Department of Epidemiology Research, Statens Serum Institut, Copenhagen, Denmark, said.<\/p>\n
\u201cSingle sites or regions are unlikely to have a large enough population to detect very rare signals,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
