Actor Kirk Cameron that he is planning to launch a children\u2019s show alongside the publishing company, Brave Books.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe power of storytelling is just unbelievably strong,\u201d Cameron told Glenn Beck.<\/p>\n
The show, called, \u201cAdventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk,\u201d is similar to \u201cMr. Rogers\u2019 Neighborhood,\u201d Kirk described. He noted it is \u201cgreatly modernized, high energy, with beautiful, embedded, animated stories inside.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cToo much of children\u2019s television content today is mind-numbing, cringy, or full of just downright harmful messages,\u201d a description<\/a> for the show reads. \u201cThis is why children need Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk to exist, it is a groundbreaking live-action children\u2019s TV show that will not only entertain your children but also build their character at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n At the time of writing, the show has raised $79,986 of $2,500,000.<\/p>\n \u201cWe plan on creating not just one, but TWO SEASONS (20 episodes) of Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk. But we won\u2019t be able to do it without your support. Your contribution to this fundraising campaign will allow us to create and distribute a wholesome alternative to children\u2019s entertainment to families across the United States,\u201d the fundraiser states. \u201cEach 22-minute episode is estimated to cost us $125,000, so we aim to raise $2,500,000 to assemble a top-notch creative team, from scriptwriters to set designers, directors, producers, cinematographers, and editors.\u201d<\/p>\n
