GOD IS SATISFIED<\/h3>\n
We stand confused. Circumstances spin out of control.<\/strong> Life aches. We fret. God is not pacing the floors, wondering what\u2019s going on, biting His fingernails, or dissatisfied with our lives and the world in general.<\/p>\n He is often grieved, I\u2019m sure. But He\u2019s never surprised. Never caught off guard. Never strategizing to see how He\u2019s going to smooth out what\u2019s been made crooked now.<\/p>\n His perspective is different from ours.<\/p>\n His ways are higher.\u00a0 God\u2019s at peace.<\/p>\n And He\u2019s satisfied.<\/strong><\/p>\n One Puritan writer explained it this way.<\/p>\n Our lives seem like a jagged race\u2014a fretful sprint from pillar to post. But at the end of the race, we will turn around and look back<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n And all we\u2019ll see is a straight line<\/strong>.<\/p>\n God is satisfied.<\/p>\n Rest in this peace-giving truth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cJesus answered and said to him, \u2018What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this\u201d<\/strong> . . . \u2018Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him.
